Grow gardens. Grow minds. Grow community.
This Giving Tuesday, Give the Gift of Gardening!
Giving Tuesday is a global day of generosity that encourages people to give back to their communities. This year, the Oklahoma Farm to School Program is inviting Oklahomans to give back in a unique way, by helping school gardens grow.
Schools across Oklahoma have the opportunity to share the garden supplies they need to start, maintain, or expand their school gardens. Community members, businesses, producers, and organizations can then choose a participating school and donate items directly from its Garden Wish List.
From seeds and soil to hand tools, compost, lumber, and other garden essentials, every contribution can help create meaningful hands-on learning opportunities for Oklahoma students.
Whether you represent a school looking for support or a community member ready to give back, you can help us give the gift of gardening this Giving Tuesday.
Give students the opportunity to plant, grow, discover, and learn.

The Oklahoma Farm to School Program will not collect or accept cash donations through this campaign.
Does my donation go to the Oklahoma Farm to School Program?
No. Donations are made directly to the participating school. The Oklahoma Farm to School Program helps connect schools and community members through the campaign.
Do I have to purchase something?
Some schools may accept clean, safe, and gently used gardening supplies. Check the individual school’s wish list before donating.
Can I donate something that isn’t on the list?
We recommend choosing an item from the school’s wish list so schools receive supplies they have specifically identified as needed. If you have a larger item or special donation you’d like to offer, contact the school before delivering it.
What if I don’t see a school on the list?
Only schools that have opted to participate in the Give the Gift of Gardening Giving Tuesday Campaign are included on the list of participating schools. Please do not take garden supplies or other donations to a school that is not listed. If you don’t see a school you’d like to support, consider choosing another participating school in your community.
Can businesses participate?
Absolutely! Businesses, civic organizations, garden clubs, producers, community groups, and individuals are all encouraged to participate.
When should I deliver my donation?
Each school will provide its preferred delivery date, time, and location on its Garden Wish List. Giving Tuesday is the featured day of the campaign.
What if someone already claimed the item I wanted to donate?
Choose another item from the school’s wish list! The real-time list helps prevent duplicate donations.
