About the Garden Crew

Joining the Farm to School Garden Crew is more than planting seeds— it’s about planting knowledge, connections, and growth. Our mission is to empower educators, students, and community members to cultivate healthy, sustainable gardens that enhance learning and promote wellness. Through collaborative efforts, we provide resources, activities, and a supportive network to help gardens bloom, fostering a love for gardening and a thriving hub for learning.

Who Can Join the Crew?

The Farm to School Garden Crew is open to:

  • Public and private schools
  • Early childhood programs
  • Classrooms, clubs, cafeterias, and afterschool programs
  • Schools with existing gardens and schools just getting started

Participation in the Farm to School Garden Crew is free and open to all schools. All supplies and resources are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. When they are limited, priority may be given to schools with an established, food-producing garden that is primarily funded by the school or school district.
